    Primary TPS, high idle issue.

    Just got my 05 back from the dealer with a new primary TPS. Idle was annoying before at 1600, now worse at 2500. Comes down in about 20 seconds of not touching throttle. Taking it back tomorrow, not getting good feeling about it reading these replies.

    I’ve had problems with Rockets, too- my solution was a Rocket for short summer joyrides, an Explorer for year round and long trips.

    Welcome- Beautiful bike. I don't know how many times I had someone look at my Rocket and say, "why didn't you get a Harley?" "Water cooling, shaft drive, double the horse power,...ahh forget it."

    I started riding at around the same age as you, and needed some luck to survive some “rambunctious behavior “ on that bike (a Bonneville) and later on the Rocket. I’m 61 now, and very selective about my twist the throttle moments.
