Hello!

After having my eye on the R3 for over a year I finally pulled the trigger and bought one. I wanted the more relaxed posture of the "classic" but not the floorboards and hard luggage of the touring model. I picked up a 2005 with just over 5k miles on it. It rides so smooth and pulls super hard. Everything I was looking for.

For me it's an upgrade from my 1983 GoldWing. I had removed the fairings and converted it to a "naked" 'Wing, and it looks great and is much more peppy than it was with all that extra hardware, but it still felt boring in comparison to my 1200cc sportbike. As a much older motorcycle, it had brakes that would be considered substandard today and flexy, mushy handling. What sold me on the Triumph was the brakes. They bit down far harder than my 'Wing or the many Harley's I'd tested.

Anyway - I'm happy to own one of these that showed Triumph was proud of their unorthodox engine configuration. Giant chrome radiator? Check. Weird 3 exhaust exits? Yup. :)
