05 Engine Swap

I blew out 4th gear on my 05 1k miles after 40k service. Looking for an engine that will fit, not sure if other years will bolt up. Any ideas? or where I can get transmission repaired.

Why not get the transmission fixed? 40K miles isn't that much.

Here is all that is listed on Ebay but I do not know if they had the update kit without having a close look see. If you could find out the vin number of the 08 you might have a chance at getting one that is updated. All Rocket Engines will fit your bike.

What vin number is the cut point in 08 when the upgrades started? I am planning on hopping up the engine that I get and want to be sure there are no more transmission problems.

Any VIN number after 337294 (the last 6 digits) is supposed to be updated.
