Thanks Dave; very couragous to post these. This is of course my fear. I have no doubt that with time you can get used to the handling and it pisses me off that there are so many compromises you have to make with the only alternative to forking out big time on MTs. But it boils down to safety with me more than cost. I know CTs suit a lot of people and good on them, but the way I ride I reckon I'd be risking the same problem.
I have, by the way, seen Hanso's tyre and believe me, he rides like a ........- well, bloody fast - on very twisty roads and he doesn't have this type of wear, so there are obviously many factors involved.
As I said, couragous of you. Now, brace yourself for everyone telling you that you were under inflated or you were riding wrong - just about anything other than the fact IT'S A CAR TYRE on a motorcycle.
