Wont turn over

Turn the key it goes on. Push button nothing happens, not even a click. But it's once in a while sometimes it does start. Pushed it to get started once and that worked.
any ideas gentlemen? 2005 R3 Classic.

My bike had a starter relay go bad. On my Roadster it's under the right side cover. It's the one that doesn't click when you use the turn signals. Common relay available at any auto parts store.
Loose/burnt wires on the key switch. Running without headlight relays wired in is known to melt the wires at the switch. Does it sometimes start after you wiggle the handlebars? Probably the switch.

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. turned out to be dirty clutch switch .

I will check the simple things first. But I've had problems with the ignition switch before. So I'd like to install a push button switch. So which wire in the harness do I use

I have used his stuff, very good & the PDM60 is top notch.

I have a couple of PDM60's - only bugger is the rear programming port.

And it can't be emphasized enough that you should have a headlight bypass relay kit such as the Eastern Beaver kit. You're only asking for more trouble if you don't.
