I am picking up my brand new 2015 roadster next week and wanted to know if you really need a windscreen or not? If its worth getting is there a quick release option?
I have a windshield and the flyscreen. Only put the windshield on to try it. Hasn't been back on. Flyscreen stays on. Blocks the wind front my chest and looks good too.
I actually run them all except for my fly screen as it block the view when your chin is on the tank !!!! The clear sports screen works better. I use the others Summer and Roadster screens on trips like down to the Smokies and then switch to the sports screen fits in my nap sack. I have not ran into much stability problems until after 150 .
I would politely disagree . . .
Been over 130 mph many times on my R3R with the OEM shield.
Narry any stability or front end issue.
Note: I do weigh 250 +
Mate I have a shield on my 2008 Classic. I have ridden it without and it feels like a totally different bike. At first I wasn't too keen on the look of it however it did grow on me. I wouldn't be without it and highly recommend one for a more comfortable ride.
