Will Roadster Shift Lever work on Classic with footboards?

I'm sure a bunch of you guys know this off hand. Will a roadster shift lever work on a classic with footboards? I wear size 16 shoes and I have a tendency to hit the heel shift portion of the rocker style shift lever on the classic accidentally. I know I could just buzz off the end of my existing one I just kind of hate to if I can purchase/trade for one all made up.

if not the speed triple one will straight off the engine no linkage rods.
