Triumph Rocket 3 R
This is my response to Triumphs "limited Edition" you can have any colour you like so long as it's black Rocket. (not really it been it's the making a long before they were announced)

After a few months of waiting for stuff to be done because of lockdowns it's finally finished :) , my black Rocket is now a white Rocket with a new red real leather seat and tail tidy.
The paint is an out of range Ferrari special order pearl "Bianco Fuji", and just in case you fancy having your new Ferrari in this colour it's a £25,000 or $35,000 option.

Luckily if you get your favourite paint shop to do a bike its a hell of a lot less, this cost £1500 ($2100). The seat is a very nice supple leather inspired by one of the patterns in a Ferrari 458 in the same red and was a very reasonable £275 ($385) and to finish it off a tail tidy from a French company on eBay got rid of that ugly factory backend.

And no I'm not a Ferrari fanboy but I do like the Bianco Fuji paint and even on a ****y dull overcast day like today you can see the pearl effect really well when many lesser pearls would just look dull-white. In the sun its look even better, a bright silver-white. Now I just have to wait for some sun, something that is not guaranteed here in England. I did some pics on the garage with just two small lights that show how the pearl changes to a creamy colour but it looks better in real life than in the pics.

I also changed a few of the silver bits to satin black, the upper radiator cowl and front fork shrouds to make it look a bit less obese from the front. That rad cowl in silver makes the bike look really wide and the silver fork shroud around the forks does the same so I took a leaf out of the TFC blacked out look before the new black LTD versions were announced.

I originally wanted a Red version but none were available last June so I took the last black one in stock, the thinking was I could change the colour later maybe to red but then decided to do something different and this was the result.

Edit : 2 days later and it was sunny today so I got the video camera out to show it in the sun, always much better :) so the video is below.

As you can probably tell from my icon, I love white bikes. This looks SO good its insane. Well done.

Awesome. that red custom seat really pops. Interesting that you decided to leave the radiator shroud black. That was brilliant because i think it provides a nice transition from front to back. The tail treatment and signal lights really give that “minimalist” approach. Great work!

Very nice indeed - fresh and totally original. Just my opinion, but the only thing lacking is a pinstripe on the rims - either white or red, to break the black monotony on the wheels.

I own a black bike myself - a 2012 Victory Hammer 8-ball. I will be chopping and modding it within the next year or so and will then change to an entirely different colour scheme, as you have done. There are just too many black bikes around now, IMHO. A bit like p1les, with all due respect - every second 4rsehole, including myself, seems to have at least one (-:

Mmmm.... interesting never thought about the pinstripe on the wheels, I'll look into that but yes turning up a meet sometimes looks like a meeting of the local biking funeral directors there are so many black bikes, at least it will be easy to find in a field full of black & grey :)
