Riding to working yesterday along the hwy I noticed a whining noise, seems to be when under throttle Can't tell if it's engine or drive train. Any Ideas ???

Is it there when in neutral?

Does the tone/frequency change with rpm or speed?

Does it stop with clutch lever pulled or change with different gears?

Is it there when you pull the clutch and close throttle while coasting at speed?

It changes with RPM, and goes when I throttle off, checked that as I thought it might be wheel bearing. definitely when the engine is under load in the 4th and 5th can't really hear it in the other gears.
Will do clutch check on the way home.
