First time for rear wheel removal for a new bridgestone. I am not sure where to locate the jack to be sure not doing any damage.

On the Roadster do I have remove the left side muffler or does the wheel drop far enough to get the axel out.

Any other tricks to doing this job right.

Hi Jim, I use an ATV jack. Lift up a bit and undo the top of the shocks then you can lift all the way.
If you want to borrow my jack just let me know. I'm I'm Moorooka.

it will lift the bike pretty good and stable your front will come up first unless you use some ratchet straps from the frame to the jack which I highly recommend for safety.

This is my R3 up on the jack and the jack that I welded two lugs to align with the two points that are at the lowest part of your frame, the bike just bolts on.

Jim if you look under your bike you'll see two lugs .. like where you would mount a centre stand. They are the best points to locate a jack.
