Want to change shift lever

[Idaho Red Rocket 3]

I have a 2006 Rocket Standard. When racing at the drag strip shifting is not good. I want to eliminate the Johnson Rod set-up and replace it with a direct to the shift shaft lever.

Have any of you guys done so ? What did you use ? Pictures ?

1995??? Good luck trying to find one. If ya do lemme know...Always liked the way that looks.

They are not that hard to find. Muuuch better than the linkage set up. Very direct feel, specially when shifting up.

Maybe I missed something. I thought it had to be from a 1995 the way it read. Is it instead from 1995 and up???

what's the advantage of the shifting link?

I don't see any. Right onto the spline has got to be stronger, less sloppy and less to bend or break. Seems way better to me. Now the question is why didn't Triumph save the extra parts and go this route??? Hmmmm.
