Pianoman came up with another great destination today, the HoAME (Heart of America Motorcycle Enthusiasts) Vintage Bike Show at the Kansas Speedway. The speedway itself is huge (NASCAR , IRL, and others) and is a sight to behold. I ran into the world famous Randy Baxter there along with all of the usual suspects. I took a ton of pictures but had trouble getting all the info on the bikes because Dave kept wandering off and if he gets within 75 feet of a breathing female it violates the terms of his parole. All of these pics are in my photo album and can be seen in much larger form with better detail. There were some very nice and rare bikes there, and it was such a nice day the crowd was huge...

Enjoy!

A Fun Time

Well, as always, I've got to put in my 2 cents worth.

Like Tom said, great day, lots of great old bikes, a couple of cute girlies, a trike pulling a casket hauler from the local mortuary in town and don't forget to ask Tom about how nice was the bathroom.

Being an old pilot, I had to get one shot with my beat up old hat and goggles. Notice the color coordination between my ride and my shirt! It's a gift ..... just a decorating gift !

We drove East of Kansas City on I-70 to find a place for some of us local Captains to meet Tuesday morning as Regulator comes through KC on his 1,000 trip for Fischer House. St. Louis to Sturgis and back in 24 hours. We'll escort him around the morning traffic and might even ride with him toward the Nebraska line.

He's going to be riding the Yamaha Venture so we'll have to keep slowing down so we can see him in our mirrors!

We went to a new eatery called Texas Roadhouse. Pretty good deep fried bloomin' onion with a horseradish sauce. About every 20 minutes all the waitresses would stop and dance to a country tune. Redneck Woman got the place jumping. Later I told our bartender that we were Ex Chippendale dancers. I was Chip and he was Dale! Just that split second of her not quite getting that information processed was worth the corny line.

Our KC RAT group is riding to Ashland, Nebraska on July 13th to visit the S.A.C Air Force Museum. We hope to meet Danno and others there as well.

That's enough ....... I'm sure you're saying so " OVER AND OUT "

Great scott you guys are having too much fun and no I'm not moving there.:D

Thanks Tomo for these superb pics:). I'd take the magnificent Ariel Square Four... or maybe the almighty Munch Mammuth . Or both. Both being in their own unbounded way the true Rocket III precursors. Best regards. Jamie

Thanks for the great pics! Any of those bikes is enough to make me druel.. lol I've often thought, if I sold the Rocket, I could have two, maybe three of the less expensive models there.. :)

Vintage days

I would like to remind everyone July 25 thru July 27 Vintage Triumph days at Mid Ohio in New Lexington Ohio. Hopefully there will be a huge turn out.
