New to this forum (any forum in fact) but not to Rocket 3's, current bike being my 2nd Roadster (this one is a 2015) and also having owned a Metisse BSA Rocket 3 in the 70's (yes, that's another bike I wish I still had).
I have successfully spent the last 10 years avoiding joining anything on the internet (forums, social media etc) and confess to an ulterior motive for joining here (is it too soon to be begging?).
I have splashed out on a DP 3-1 Deep Tone silencer (longer version of the Outlaw) and have also fitted a Ramair and dumped anything else I could to reduce weight. Sadly, I have just discovered that all I actually needed to do was to wait a year and save 40 kilos by buying the new 2500 R3 and get a significant increase in grunt and a, presumably, steering enhancing reduction in rake at the same time.
I am too long in the tooth to be terribly fussed about squeezing every last bit of h.p. out of the motor but do not want to be running around lean as a result of my weight reduction efforts. While I will happily play around with a pair of Amal Concentrics all day, I fear I am not competent to be changing values in fuel tables, which brings me back to the ulterior motive. Can anybody point me towards a suitable TuneECU tune for the above configuration? Thanks in anticipation.

While we haven't seen him in a while, you have a neighbor in @Trirocket3 who knows more about the Rocket than Triumph . . .

Welcome to the forum. Not knowing your physique all I can say is you could skip a couple meals to save some weight and that would be cheaper :p

Sounds like some good mods. Good luck with the retune.

Hi McNorton and welcome to the forum from another of the Brits. As for your ulterior motive, as @bigprop said, have a look in the resources section for a base tune that should be compatible. These tunes are only a basic first step towards getting the Beast to perform. This will be the first step. We would need to know your location to try and point you in the direction of a tuner though as those who'll tune via tune ecu alone would appear to be few and far between.

Welcome Captain McNorton,:) from Maine, where the cold and rain persist to this day:(

As GOC has stated, borrowing a tune will be a good start, but a dyno is necesary. While most tuners don't tune the engines ecu via tune ecu, using a PCV and inconjuction with a dyno tune will work as well. As I found out recently, the map that comes with a Rocket PCV tune is only useful with the stock tune in the engines ecu. Having said that, the PCV map can be adjusted on a dyno to work with your engine's map.

    Welcome

Welcome from Central Spain. If you let us know where in bally ol' blighty you're at - we can maybe find a fuel sniffing type to assist you. Our @Nat67 runs Outlaws and open filters. K&N now but he may still have a Ramair tune lying about. He's down on Dartmoor.
