With the knowledgeable assistance of the French software developer of TuneECU we have seven 20050 Custom Dyno-developed Tune Maps that need to be tested on a standard Rocket III [All VINs] before we can post them to the TuneECU website.

I am therefore looking for someone who has some user knowledge of TuneECU and would be willing to offer some assistance as a tester.

Please PM me should you fit that bill!

Best from South Africa!

Is there anyone prepared to help out?

Is there anyone prepared to help out? Your assistance will not only be greatly appreciated, but it will also be to the benefit of a number of Rocket owners, both on this forum and worldwide who desire to tune their wee beastie! :)

Where are these tunes from? Who created them? Are they tunes that have been posted and used but are just being converted to TuneEcu?

I think the reason there is not an overwhelming response it that most want to be careful what they are loading into their bike. You also have to make sure it is appropriate for that particular bike's intake and exhaust setup.

Hi,

Out of caution I have locked the following 6 maps until further notice.

20050DynoFinalMap_TOR_CatBypass.hex
20050DynoFinalMap_TOR_CatBypass_Decel.hex
20050DynoFinalMap_WithPods_And_IgnRetard.hex
20050TuneNLR2KJD(no02)_(L- tables mod).hex
20050TuneStainTune.hex
20050TuneStainTune_Decel1_Wayne.hex

The Maps but you can get at me if you want to experiment.
Then please send a personal message with your e-mail address to me.

For the future:
Please send only maps to Alain or me, if they tested for function.
It is not helpful to any user, if a map causes problems for the user.
We must remember in any case, the TuneECU is also used by lay people.

What's the problem with posting these maps? Aren't there enough disclaimers on this web site? These maps are mostly custom Tuneboy maps that had been publically available for years. If someone converted these to hex format, they did the freeloaders a big service. Is there a concern that Tuneboy might sue yah?

To clarify. The maps that I am testing are all well-established custom maps, each developed by well-experienced Rocket III tuning specialists. All have been available in .dat format for some time and have been used universally by a large number of Rocket III owners. With the knowledgeable assistance of the TuneECU programmer, these have all now been correctly converted to .hex format in order to make them available to the wider TuneECU community.

While the original mapping in .dat format is not in question, as with any conversion to .hex format, it is important to check that they are fully functioning. Hence my request.

Finally, as with any custom map for any motorcycle and indeed TuneECU itself, "Use of the software is at your own risk"

I hope this helps!

Actually, Tuneboy Wayne provided 20050DynoFinalMap_TOR_CatBypass and I modified the L tables, with Wayne's help, for the _Decel version. So you might want to reconsider the "specialists" part.
