Trying to fit a Carpenter exhaust and.....

Hi all.
I'm trying to fit a Carpenter exhaust and all is good, but the bit on the picture can't be installed at the same time, or can it, and I'm just being a knucklehead?

I had the same problem when fitting my Reband system ....I managed to fit the cover first apart from the lower screw ....it was an arse ache job

Does your exhaust bracket fit onto where the rear foot peg goes

not sure if the ssue was fixed with either Exhaust system made by Reband and Carpenter but on the early versions you had to cut the corner off the cover

I got mine fitted like this

Fits perfect with the Carpenter Sidewinder exhaust.

Apparently this is one of the first systems and I have to cut the corner of the cover.
