It has been a busy week for recalls, and now we see Triumph adding to the list with 12,654 of its motorcycles needing a recall for an issue with their clutch cable contacting the main wiring harness.

The issue affects five motorcycles, from the 2016-2018 model years, including the Bonneville T120, Bonneville T100, Street Cup, Street Scrambler, and Street Twin.

According to the recall documents, the clutch cable on these motorcycles may come in contact with the main harness sheath and cause damage to the wiring.

This can then lead to an electrical short, or a complete loss of power to various electrical circuits, which poses a safety issue to the rider.

To remedy the issue, Triumph will notify affected owners, and Triumph dealers will replace the original securing guide for the clutch cable and main harness with an updated one, free of charge.

Concerned Triumph owners may contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010, and reference Triumph’s number for this recall, which is SRAN560. As always, the NHTSA is also available at 1-888-327-4236 and
