transmission issue

Getting first gear to engage from standstill as you describe is common.
Happens off and on. Learn to live with it.

If you are popping out of 2nd under hard acceleration, you need the upgrade kit.
Search the forums for 'Upgrade Kit' (without the quotes. don't forget to answer the random question at bottom of form)
Many, many posts over 2 or three years on this.

I had the upgrade kit installed for free during warranty.
Others have had it installed free out of warranty, others had to pay all or part.
Dealer willingness to install it or even admit it's existence varies.

Baxter Cycle is the best at installing the 'kit'.

I just did the search and got 100 hits.
Find the post listing the kit's official Triumph part number and use that as ammo at the dealer.

P.s i heard from a custom bike builder who lives down the road from me that a couple of guys up in queensland a trying to get 300hp out of R3 engine and naturally asperated at that i heard they are gettin close to it.

It sounds to me like you need the upgrade kit, or as Triumph call it, the "update kit".

The more common Triumph name for it is "we don't know WTF your talking about" !
