touring tank on a classic?

Does anyone know if a take from a r3t will fit on an 07 classic?

Not positive but I believe the touring tank will NOT fit the other Rockets.

I know that the rear portion of the frame is different but not sure of front. If you could find part number for the 2 frames you would know for sure.

Why would you want a smaller tank?

I am chopping up my r3 a bit. I want to.keep the gauges on the handlebars, but i want a teardrop tank. I would modify the top of the tank to be smooth. I just want to know if it will fit without extensive modification.

The shape is completely different, so I think it would take modification for sure.
