TomTom Rider options

I've been looking at the secondary market for TomTom Riders (Models 1 and 2). They are no longer offered new in the U.S.

My question to anyone who has a Model 1: Can you plan and download routes onto the GPS unit? For example, if I plan a great route on my computer at home, can I download and recall that route on the GPS unit later?

Please, no responses about Garmin Zumo units. I know that they are great but they are also terribly expensive.

[Triple Trouble]

Don't touch a Rider 1. They have a terrible mounting system and hardly ever work and often fall off whilst riding!
I've used a rider 2 for years and it works very well. Route planning from mapquest or google maps is easy using the link above which is a great piece of free software.

Hi Doug downloaded that program looks good had been tring to find a way to load routes onto my tomtom
