I stopped at Bonneville this last summer on my way to California. My first time there, it's really something to see.

The film is pure entertainment and in conjunction with Tom Hanna's book (One Last Run), which is a bit more factual, makes a fascinating story about an amazing man.

He was one year older than I am now when he took that record, I get the collie wobbles doing half that speed, ffs.

The lemon tree was maintained to burts high level by his young friend while Burt was at bonneVille. Haha

Nope!! Burt never did the lemon tree trick at all. It was the father (or grandfather?) of the film's producer, Roger Donaldson, and Donaldson apparently decided to add it to Burt's role as a "human touch..."
