Hi all, new here, thinking about buying a '06 R3. It's always been on my bucket list. I'll let you know how it goes.

Make sure to get as much info about prior servicing as possible. Especially whether it has had the update kit installed, has the current style primary throttle position sensor installed (blue-bodied TPS) and that it has had the scheduled valve check(s) performed.

Nearly 4 years later, and I changed my mind. I've ordered a Rocket 3 R. No delivery date yet but can't wait.

Ah well, the difference between old and new models is like night and day. Now it is much closer to what my ideal. Besides, a ZRX, a CB1300, 3 Yamaha Fazers, and a dead deer all intervened in the meantime.
