I made all the parts and put them on my bike, finally found a guy that makes cars out of matal is going to make all this out of metal, took two year of waiting finally it’s in his shop.
Scoop will be on top of tank and will be part of the tank giving a little more gas.
The side cover will be the same on other side covering K@M filters.
He said I got a choice for the right side make it a lockable glove box?
Or make the gas tank bigger on the right side and have cover on it?
What should I do?

Go look under trunk I think there’s close up of the trunk done in styrofoam , I didn’t do other side.
I put the scoop on that’s going to be part of the tank gauges is too close so he needs to make spacer to lift gauges.
So right side should be lockable glove box? With same cover.
Or make gas tank bigger with same cover?

Practicality wise I agree w/ fuel increase and the fact that gauges on the bars are sooo much easier to see and monitor than gauges on the tank.

Can't wait to see the finished product. Glove box, yes. I don't think you are running saddle bags, so the more storage the better. Longer fuel stops? Not for me, for I like to get off and walk a little every 100 miles. You can always do like @Boog does and carry a gallon with you in a can. Good job dude. Bring it to Maggie Valley
