The whole warranty industry & business is as crooked as it gets!
I ignore warranties & buy based on a product's track record with custumer satisfaction.
I find if you are not cheap & buy name brands in quality models, usually you'll come out OK.

Good post, it amazes me how many people are totally ignorant of the "Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act" even people on this site who are scared to do even the basic maintenance on the bike while it is still under warranty in-case the dealer will not cover the bike if anything goes wrong during warranty.
