Looks great, like it came with the bike. Just be sure to put the heavy stuff in the saddle bags, they handle funky with too much weight up high. Ask me how I know this

What was involved with installing the trunk? How did you end up doing the electric?

jduke if u got a luggage rack it takes bout 5 min to put on aint got the lights hooked up yet will let u know when i do u have 2 bars that u put under the rack and run the bolts through the trunk and tighten them up

Wasn't the quick release sissy bar on her bike? What luggage rack did you use to mount the trunk to? I looked on the triumph site and for the R3T, I only saw the quick release sissy bar / luggage rack combo, and the solo luggage rack. I didn't see a luggage rack that would mount behind the passenger seat. What luggage rack did you use?

the quick release luggage rack you have to take the sissy bar off and you will have to get nuts to go on the end of the bolts

Luggage Rack - Chrome from Triumph Accessories the luggage rack is for use with the quick realease sissy bar this is cheaper than you can order from triumph
