Swapping out from chrome to black headlamp buckets. The chrome have original bulbs. The black have led's.

Can I just cut the zip tie at the grommet to then pull the wire harness through?

Im assuming the wires plugged into the connector will come out without cutting the wires? Must be clipped in somewhere. Maybe use a small screwdriver to release wherever its being held in place and pull.

The one with led's had the bulb taped up with masking tape. Never knew as it was like that when I got it but have never had a problem before. Led's worked as they should even though it looks like bulbs burnt out. When fitting led's should I tape it up like it was before? Or pull bulbs? Or something else?

Thanks for any input.

The burnt out connector is for the parking lamps. I cut those sockets off on my ride and used the circuit/wires for my daylight ring on the led lamps. That way I can still turn ignition key to parking position and have the halo rings light up on there own, real helpful at night to see start by but don’t want to make noise.

Thanks, good to know. I'll try to figure out how to do that later... after I figure out how to disconnect wires from connector and pull harness through grommet. Worst case scenario, I'll cut the wires
