any advice on opening up the stock pipes without making them open exhaust?

I can't find the thread from a while back.

I have seen a few guys "open" up their stock exhaust. They look terrible and sound awful. Go with the good stuff Nolton.

TORS, D&D, and others.

I have to agree with you IRR3, unless the muffler is completely gutted and a replacement baffle is fitted inside the original cans.
There is not much to be gained by gutting the earlier Classic Triple muffler systems as these are reasonably open inside, the CAT box is the restricting factor.
The roadsters are quite a different story.

I have TORS and love them.
Problem is the lower right is rusting from whithin.

I have your solution. Put the stock lower right pipe back on. That is how I have my TORs set-up. I like the sound better than all 3 TORs. And I like the look with the 2 pipe ends closer to each other.

So, I have Jardines and they are uncomfortably loud. I've looked at Big City Thunder QQ baffles. Anyone have any experience with this?
