Hi all, had a problem for the first time yesterday with my Rocket T 2008. Parked the bike, came back two hours later, wouldn't start! All I got was a "clack" sound, presumably from the starter motor. After a while, I put the side stand down and tried again, it started! Anyone heard of this before. Could just be a coincidence with the stand but still strange. Fuel gauge also showed empty although the tank was at least one third full. Rode to my local Triumph dealer, he put the bike on the tester but no error messages appeared...Any suggestions?
Whilst there, spoke to the head sales guy. He confirmed (I didn't know) that the Rocket production has know been officially stopped. The main reason, at least here in Europe is the exhaust gas emission issue. In Germany the Rocket only achieves the Euro 3 standard, Euro 4 is the norm. He said that it would probably take two years for a new Rocket to appear. Also said that Triumph wasn't able to make any headway against HD in The States .
