Anyone running the Sidewinder headers with baffle AND O2 sensor? Seems the sensor is in the wrong location to get an accurate reading in the exhaust system. The sensor probe is in the muffler and outside of the baffle in relation to the exhaust flow. Thinking about cutting a bigger hole in the baffle so the sensor is exposed to better exhaust flow. Also seems that it might not get hot enough to give accurate readings (don't want the heated element (Autotune system) to run all the time to keep sensor at the right temperature).

The sensor is just before the baffle, what difference would it make if you put it in the baffle? if you removed the baffle(pretty loud) that would fix the problem?
Looks like the sensor hole was designed to be used with no baffle. The baffle is within 1/16 inch of the inside hole for the sensor. So it seems you will have to cut out the part of the baffle over the sensor hole or the sensor will not screw in all the way. Removing baffles- way too loud!

If its going to be temporary why not temporarily externaly mount it

If its permanent then the O2 bung should be somewhere right after the merge collector and just before the megaphone starts. I have three sets of the Brutes and they are all in the right place. Remember Bob doesn't make the pipe he orders them from a guy that builds them. Now I'm not sure about the snake pipes but with the aparatus above another nipple and long flexible copper pipe one could gather information from each cylinder yes you could actually individually auto tune by gear each cylinder.

If one had a mind to. :D
