I just installed a set of Rivco floorboards and I can't fit my boot under the shifter. I adjusted the shifter a little but it's not enough. And the more I adjust it the harder it is to shift. What are captains doing to fix this: shifter bar extension, drilling and tapping another hole in the shifter bar, different shifter knob? ideas?

Buy a shifter for a 2004 Speed Triple and replace the entire linkage setup for a direct shifter. Problem solved. No more crappy linkage.

Thanks John, I installed a 1" extension on my toe shifter (made it longer)and bent it out a little and adjusted the linkage and it all looks good (straighter than before) and my big ol boot fits right underneath it just fine.
