This ugly thing has been bugging me since I got it.

Looks like it has been painted at one time.
While messing in my garage I got an idea..
1/4" Drip Tubing I use in my sprinkler system.

And Voila!!

A 3/8" piece would work better. Might keep an eye out for a bit of that in my Ace Hardware travels.

I used 3/8 chrome supply line for sinks,toilet etc. Cut to length slips on nice and tight and its CHROME!!.

I need these. How do you put them on? (without messing up the setting) ?

Not sure but adjustment is easy and its not critical its more to fit the riders foot.

Yep... I adjusted mine soon after getting the bike. I lowered the shift lever down towards my foot to eliminate the space between my foot and the shifter.
