Sad weekend

I don't know if this is the place for this post, but some of you may remember Bill Zeigelbein (BILLZ). I am sorry to say that he was killed in an accident riding his 08 R3 in Sturgis this past weekend. Bill lived in Lincoln, NE as I do and I would see him from time to time. He rode to Eureka Springs, AK with us back in 08 and we had a great time. Bill was also an ex Husker football player (starting center 90-91) and had 2 young girls that he left behind, his wife was with him and she is in stable condition. According to the newspaper, they missed a corner, hit a pole and flipped the bike. Be careful out there! Danno

Wow.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. I can't imagine what his wife is going thru. It's always sad to hear about a rider down but when it's a fellow member of the family it hits a lot harder.

Very sad to hear this. If I remember right, Bill made it down to one of the early Maggie Valley gatherings. RIP Bill.

Very sad - naturally. Two little girls have no father. And that's horrid.

But if this is true ......

Neither rider was wearing a helmet, the patrol said.

...then he put his own hedonism before his family.

His wife will be living with the descision too.

Sorry if it sounds harsh - but whilst I support ones right not to wear a lid - I think your being a bit of a prat not to.
