Hello Everyone,
I bought a lightly used 2014 Rocket III Roadster from a local Triumph dealer that came with custom straight pipes the previous owner had fitted. The problem is when I close the throttle when coming to a stop the bike dies about 80% of the time. Also, the bike won't idle about 50% of the time.
I'm no mechanic but I think it's a fueling issue. The air-to-fuel ratio is off, needs a tune, the throttle bodies are out of sync.....I really don't know.
The dealer won't help, even with the extended warranty i bought, because the pipes aren't OEM. Also, that particular dealer dropped their agreement to sell Triumphs a few days after I bought mine (how convenient). All the other Triumph dealers around here want to charge me $300 to run a full service and diagnostics with no guarantee it will fix the problem.
Guys, I love Triumph and I love the bike but I need a solution to this. I don't want to dump $1000 into this bike blindly trying to figure out what is wrong.
Thanks,
1LT Nick Davis
