Roadster 2013 tune in a 2012?

Sorry guys - I'm sure this must be a question that has been asked loads of times recently but I can't throw it up in any searches. My dealer is saying that the latest 2013 official Triumph tune (that removes the torque limitations) is incompatible with the software in the earlier Roadsters. This seems unlikely to me = whaddya think?

PS - I have TuneECU and I know there are tunes that will do that anyway, but I'm a law abiding type, and my insurer will only allow it of it's a proper Triumph tune installed by Triumph dealer.

Strange insurer... when I told mine the bike had been Carpenterized,carbon wheeled, custom fork braces; they wern't bothered.. Can do just about anything , so long as I TELL them .. had to send photos to prove it too.( insurance value)
