Old man on a bike
This may have been covered in another post, but I would like to know the answer to this question.
So if I hookup Tunecu to my Rocket and read the current map and save it to my laptop. If I then go back and change the speedometer correction to let's say... -5.1 and then upload/download the new change to the ECU. Do I need to still need to do the "reset adaptation" and the 12 minute tune since I haven't really made any other changes to the bikes mapping? My thought is...No...since nothing in the actual mapping is changed.
Also, I pulled the speedometer correction setting from another tune I was looking at and it appears that correction number reflects a "percentage" of the speedometer error. Is that the case? It would appear from my own calculations that it represents a "percentage" as that would be what it takes to fix my speedometer error base on the speed error I have been able to determine using my GPS as the gold standard.
Basically, I am sick of my speedometer being 3 to 4 mph off at speed with both with my old tire and my new tire. It just annoys me for some reason and I want it fixed!
