Reporting Gearbox Failure

Are the guys who are having gearbox problems reporting it to NHTSA?
If no one reports this safety issue no one except us will ever know about it

It's also a safety issue because it can cause the rear wheel to lock up resulting in loss of control of vehicle!

You may have to report it to https://ntsb.gov/Pages/default.aspx well it is a rocket!

That exact thing happened to a few roadstar riders in 2000 and it was traced to faulty washers. A few guys pushed it hard and Yamaha had to do a complete recall.
