You will hear the valve chatter and sometimes a turbiny whine. Place the collection tube over the intake port of your shop vac and you'' get an idea of how sound restrictive the intake tubes are to the motor.

Remember when we were young, and we'd flip the cover of the intake on a car's air filter, and you could hear the induction so much better. Same principle. All the duct work sucks air from two small ports behind the seat. Opening all that lets you hear the air being sucked into the throttle bodies.

I also remember mounting a small bottle of oil to the air filter with a bodin wire to the driver that would tip a little oil into the carb. :eek:
