Ride
2014 triumph R3
Hello all new to the site thanks for having me.
Just bought a 2014 triumph R3 roadster and keep hearing that you will be changing the rear tire every year? Normal riding or laying rubber at every stop sign?

Depends on your road surface and style of riding. I change 3X/year (about every 4,000 miles). No burnouts, but we have very twisty roads in my neck of the woods and I enjoy the torque. Others claim to get 10,000 or more to a tire, so really "your mileage may vary."

WELCOME! to our R3 Forum Family from Tucson... As for tires, depends on how you ride. My Avon's last about 8K miles or so and I am not over heavy on the throttle... well, maybe a little... :sneaky: ENJOY your new Perma-Grin

I ride hard and enjoy the handling performance the bike offers. Get rid of the Metz tires and install Avon Cobra tires. 10K plus rear and 12K plus front. Top notch handling performance.
