What am I missing? I want to remove the rear wheel. If i put both arms of the jack under the motor it only seems to lift the front and it doesn't look like there is much behind the motor that would be sturdy enough to hold the bike's weight.

lifting bike.

Hi, I made a steel plate which bolts underneath my engine and runs from front to back just past the ABS unit, i have a roadster. This allows me to put the jack under any where i like to lift the bike.
cheers

I put a toggel bolt to a roof rafter in my garage and hung a chain with a comealong, on the rocket I use a nylon strap around the luggage rack and lift the whole bike as high as I need it with no fear of it falling. I can also get to all the bolts on anywhere on the bike. Changing the oil is very easy.
