Picked up my 08 R3 Classic this afternoon. I have TORS and Cat eliminator and Triumph tune. I noticed that at 2100 rpm and steady throttle there is a very noticable popping or backfire in the exhaust. Slight increase or decrease in throttle will smooth sound out. Other than this there is no backfire when decelerating. Also seems more evident in 2nd and 3rd gears. Should I ride it a little more or take it back now. Only rode 38 miles before the rains hit.
Side note; When low fuel light came on the tank held 4.9 gallons.

Simple first check......... look for loose fitting exhaust system. It sometimes can suck IN fresh air causing a relight.

There is a detailed fuel guage fix on the forum, but for an 08 model, you should get the dealer to sort that out.

Congrats on the new ride - once you get the odds & ends sorted it'll be even better.
