Okay. Is this tool necessary for A Rocket X. List on Hermys only includes Rocket tour models. I have no spacer upon taking the tension spring and body off the bike. What is up with this?

I only have 25,000 miles on the bike and have not experienced any strange noises. Is this really necessary to spend the 95 dollars? If it is a problem that has occurred on current models then I guess we will invest in the tool but I really thought cam tension problems died with the Harley.

Scott used a dial gauge for his - looks like the depth gauge on a set of vernier calipers

Got it. 16mm for the plunger?

If your talking about their go no gauge you do not need it calipers will do fine16 mm or more drop requires the spacer which can be made out of a 10 mm bolt shank .355"long. It increases the spring tension on the unit.

When you pull the center bolt and spring out do not turn over the engine until they are put back in.
