Hi guys,

not sure if this is a serious problem or not.
There is a chrome button on top of the rear which I am taking to be a breather. After a ride (even 10 miles it will be present) there is a weep from the area of the chrome button, sometimes just a mist, once I saw it as a dribble.

I am the first owner. It is an ex demo model and now has 5000k on the clock, I have had the bike for two weeks.

Any thoughts?[/b]

Rear drive unit oil leak

The Oil level in my rear drive unit is correct.

Sometimes I go for a ride it mists, somtimes it dribbles and sometimes it doesn't leak at all!

Dealer going to check it out for me, this fault has not shown up on others they have sold.

The thick plottens!...

Re: Rear drive unit oil leak

Seems the oil level may be critical in the rear drive unit on these coveted machines.

The misting/leak gradually got less. Recently I found time to get to the dealer. Although they originally assured me it was correct, this time they put a measured amount of oil in and now I'm happy to report there is no further problems.
