Hey all,
Recently I have noticed some oil under the 2010 R3R (Ponters 250hp Lushy @Neville Lush machine),
After some investigation it looks like the oil is escaping from the crankcase breather filter and it’s not just a weep. The last oil change was 2000 KLMS ago and thi has recently started without warning. I am going to make a serge type tank so the oil can’t escape and can drain back into the engine and vented of course. Some pics below. Note this bike does not have the air box fitted any longer so access is very easy.
It’s a bit hard to see the oil as it is still fresh (motul v300). When I ride it it gets a work out - no mistake.
Any input as to what could be going on would be greatly appreciated a thanks in advance

Broken piston(s) top ring land. Makes a mess easy to diagnose

With a scope thru the spark plug holes. Look on the intake side first. As at least another ashtray is born.

Sorry
Even with high compression pistons?

Like I said scope it and you will know. I wouldn't waste my time on any other test. No matter how many times you blow the oil out the results won't change. Sadly don't ask me how I know:(
STOP IT!!!!!!!
YOUR SCARING ME.....:(:(:(:(:oops::eek::eek::eek::banghead::banghead:o_O:banghead:
Lol I had a suspition but I am still in denial

Those scopes can be purchased from China (Harbor Freight) Freight for about 70 bucks. 170 for Warps, and you can record the pics on a card. Then you can post them for all of us to see what the actual cost of horsepower is. Can't wait to get in mine!!!!!
Also, don't forget to find some 20% off coupons
