O2 sensor plug

Does anyone know what the size is for the 02 sensor plug, or "bung"? When Claviger came by to download the tune on my Touring, I showed him a plug that I had in my box of fittings and we both agreed that it "looked like it" but I want to be sure.

I don't like pulling the O2 sensor because the wire twists as it is turned. I don't want to do this and then find my plug doesn't fit. I'd like to be sure. I haven't ridden it that much but know I have to get it out of there before I ruin it. It takes a few thousand miles before that happens though.

Years ago when I removed the O2 sensor on my 07 Classic, I recall reading that it is the same as many metric auto drain plugs. Also, do I need to install a washer on it? I can't remember if I did or not on the other Rocket or even where I got the plug.

I'm pretty sure its this....

M12x1.25 pitchx12mm long + a 12mm ID aluminium or copper crush sealing washer.

Can't help you out. Requested no bung on Exhaust system from Viking Exhaust.Don't have a clue.

Here you go Mike, and yes I would put a copper sealing washer under the plug.

M18 is indeed it. An oil pan drain plug from autozone will fit, and comes with the copper washer too. Just ask at the counter they’ll point you to the m18 drain plugs.

AS for the wires twisting...just unplug the plug end while you work...it's near the ECU
