Norton troubles

Besides Triumph I have always thought that Norton had the most name recognition among British motorcycles, and I always liked their bikes. I was hoping that they had enough of a foothold this time to finally be able to carve out a piece of the market.
Oh well, I have thought them dead and gone several times in the past. Hopefully they will find a way to rise again.

sad news.
have got norton es2 from 1931 in my garage. 95 percent original. i bought it in 1983 from forgotten shed. since that have no time for restoration. hopefuly i will find out some when retire.

I remember a member here who bought one of those new Norton's. It was over $30,000 and he was having troubles. I think he was from Australia. I had a 1965 Norton scrambler and I feel sorry for him.
Anybody remember the mate's name?
