Replaced cam cover gasket. Put all back together and no start.

Looks like the blanking socket (or indeed alarm..) is missing from your harness' alarm plug - this would prevent it starting

P.S. that plug you are holding in pic is for the optional accessory heated grips

Well I be. Someone slap me. Been scratching, swearing and staring at this thing. That was it! I found the blank plug down inside the engine yesterday but threw it in the back of the tool box, not knowing what it was. Visions of tow truck and perhaps incompetent service dealer mechanics dancing in my head all night. Thank you Turbo.
