99.9% sure it is a powerlet auxiliary power outlet for GPS, heated gear, mini fridge etc! P.S Welcome from Australia.

Yes it is a euro power outlet, I did away with mine and put my ignition switch in its place

Welcome from Northern Michigan. Is it a powerlet outlet for heated gear? Not sure as I can not get a good enough look.

Correctamundo!
Same as what I have on my motor.
Used mine for GPS - now my new PDM60 handles it.

Euro power outlet eh? Okay, and thanks Guys!
Mike

I think they call it a DIN powerlet or BMW powerlet.

You can buy a good amount of accessories that will plug into it. You can also buy an adapter for US 12v.

The R3T side covers aren't bolted on so I installed a 12v/usb box under the right side cover.

Brilliant minds think alike ,I did the same thing with a waterproof and fused/ switched 12volt outlet to the RHS cover
