Well here it is. I installed the Edge bags yesterday and received the Clearview windscreen a few weeks prior to that.

I would recommend the Edge bags but not the brackets. The brackets are more canted outward that the Easy Brackets and have four carriage bolts for alignment which prevents the bag from resting completely on the brackets. I got the TEX (synthetic) leather. The bags open from the front and have three straps on the side and one on the rear. The right bag has a little carry pack in it which is perfect for the registration/proof of insurance. My Gold Wing bag liners fit nicely. There is one oddity in that the bags have velcro fastener strips that run the length of the bags on both sides to hold the lids in place, making it difficult to open the bags. I taped the strips over with black duct tape and will remove them eventually.

I neglected to latch the buckles.

Note outward cant of bags. This I do not like but, oh well...

I also got the chrome frame convers and the highway pegs.

Next...I ordered a Corbin touring seat the other day along with a tank leather. I have Regulator's standard handlebars on the way and also have a chrome top yoke (triple tree) I have yet to install. I'll do that when I change out the bars.

All this just in time for the arrival of frakkin' winter.

Looks good, very good. I like the bags, but as opposed to you, I like the outward slant of the bags for water drainage, besides it looks nice!

Question about the Clearview windshield and lowers

What OEM Triumph hardware must be added to the Clearview to mount it on the R3? How do you like the lowers? Have you tried the Clearview with and without the lowers? Difference?

It bolts right up with no additional hardware or mods required. It is a bit of a chore getting all the pieces line up without the little bushings falling out. These are the ones that go inside the holes in windscreen and between the inner and outer chrome piece.

I broke one of the ultimate guy rule when putting it together; I asked my wife for help in holding the brackets while I put the screws in. It was most embarrassing.

I haven't removed the wind deflectors. They are on to stay. BTW, this is the smoked screen. Very nice quality.

I like those pegs. Wish I could get the lowers without the holes in them though.

How many times have you been told you have good looking bag?
Love the setup, like them better than the Triumph bags.

Also like the bags! Are they quick-latch under the buckles?

Quick latch. They also come without the side buckles. I thought they made the bags a bit nicer but with the bags opening from the front, they are not necessary. The rear latch holds the lid securely shut.

Ted, those are Custom Chrome and are under $70 new. Standard Harley stuff. I found them in my parts bin and bought the insert/adapters from NewR3 for about $20 as I recall.

Don't you love that windscreen with the vent? I got that on my Corbin fairing and love the effect and usefulness of the vent. I like your bags, would of been a good choice for me (instead of the Beetle bags) and I'd have a few more bucks in my pocket. You did a good job setting them all up. I don't mind the way they look from the back. I like it better from the back then I do from the right side (not following the angle of the pipes) but I'd get used to that real quick especially because I bet they're nice and roomy inside. Good looking bike man!!
