#3. After getting my packages I took a detour to pick up some fresh dates and loaf of date bread and a date shake at the Imperial Date farm store.

As I was drinking my shake I noted that the pickup truck nearby had NY tags.

Not so uncommon as a lot of New Yorkers winter in Arizona but I thought I would say hello and see where they were from.

The gentleman replied Ticonderoga. Huh, say what?
Where are you from he asked?
I am from Ticonderoga too!
Do you mean Tioga? No, Ticonderoga NY.

Mind you, NY is a HUGE state and this town is really small and people don’t tend to stray too far.

Where do you live on Ti I ask.
Chilson he replies. Where did you live before you left? Chilson.

Where on Chilson? The Putts Pond Road.

That is 10 miles from my fathers house and you pass it every day.

No way!
What is your dads name? Jim Hebert.

I used to party with him all the time when we were young and we have coffee together at McDonalds.

What a small world it is sometimes!

This date farm is WAY off the beaten path and he had never been before.

If I hadn’t said hello he would have driven off and we would never know how close we were to crossing paths.

If my phone had worked I probably would have gotten the dates tomorrow when I went back to get the boxes.

I ran into two other RV’s from the Rochester area at the last RV park I was at too but there are two million people there. Its a higher median income city so more people have disposable income for traveling.

My hometown falls closer to the “Poverty in Paradise” end of the spectrum.

I risked my life yesterday doing a 4.5 mile hike in the desert to get y’all some new footage.

I ran out of water at mile 4 and got sun burned but survived the death march but am not moving very quickly today. Lol

IMHO, anyone (terrorists & criminals excluded) that can walk 4 days across this forsaken land without water in 100+ F degree heat should be given immunity and citizenship. Especially the women that bring children.

No “T” but a whole lot of “A” in that photo.

I have come to the conclusion that I need a bigger Inverter. This 1000W beeps and shuts off when the battery reaches 10.6V and then the battery goes into storage mode.

I can’t even brew a pot of coffee unless the battery is 100%!@ 13.3V.

My electric blanket has drawn it down a couple of times too.

I should be able to go to 0% with Lithium.

I’m making due and can boil water again now that I got my new propane stove.

I also learned that there is a small grill that you can attach to the MrHeater propane heater that you can heat up water and food so I may try to find some wire and make one.
