Good luck - these two - A9740099 Badge Holder and A9930171 Badge 40.5mm wide, were used for BOTH front and rear fender rail kits and are sought by folks repairing or finding parts for either end.
Makes it even harder.
The standard Triangular badge T3950000 is 42.5mm wide and is used on R3 std,Classic and roadster front fender tip, pannier side embellishers (A9738003 - Pinned), sissy bar badge (A9738002 -Adhesive).

What is the width between badge mount bracket holes in #2 below?

The badge mount hole is the small single hole on the very front of the rail. The large T shape with 2 holes is the mounting, that part is under the front fender and the bolt heads are covered with #16 IIRC. You have to drill 2 holes in your front fender for mounting.
