    2014 Rocket III Roadster
I very recently impulse-bought a 2014 Rocket III Roadster to have as a fun weekend bike. I've always liked the sheer, glorious, unrestrained absurdity of the thing, and figured that I should just go ahead and indulge myself. Besides, I live in Oklahoma, so I may as well have something that can reel in the horizon on all the straight, flat roads we have.

I'm still working on figuring out all the individual quirks that my bike has, as the previous owner did a number of mods, including the K&N intake and a Carpenter sidewinder exhaust, and PC-V. I've already tweaked the tune on the Power commander so that it doesn't backfire ALL the time when I get off the throttle.

I've also wrapped the headers because I've already melted a hole in one pair of pants. The header looks awesome, but protrudes significantly more than stock. I'm also installing some rearsets to move my shin a little further away from the hot bits, despite the criticisms I've seen of the Raask parts.

One question I do have for you all is should I keep the Power Commander V and maybe add the wideband sensor, or pull it out and re-flash the factory computer? Does anyone have a strong opinion either way?

I'm looking forward to learning more about he bike and getting in some enjoyable seat time on it. It's definitely a world apart from my commuter bike, that's for sure.

    First welcome.

I hear you on the melted pants thing. If you value comfort above looks - Find some silvered firewall shield cloth and rivet it to your pants leg. Might not look cool - but your leg will be.

Regarding your question - May I direct you to this thread for your interest How To: Add Pressure Input for PC-V - it's still a work in progress - but .......
